Laboratory Tests

After examining a patient’s medical history and physical examination, laboratory tests help to confirm or rule out the suspicion of a disease.

In addition to being diagnostic, many tests can measure the patient’s response to treatment, which is why they need to be repeated. A person with diabetes, even if they have a blood glucose meter at home, need to have periodical glycemia and glycated hemoglobin tests in a laboratory so that their doctor can monitor the behavior of the disease.

These tests are done primarily on blood, urine and feces samples, but may use other matrices, collected and/or received in all our units, without the need for prior scheduling.
